THIS VARIATION OF THE AXIS & ALLIES GAME WAS PLAY TESTED USING
THE 1986 SECOND EDITION RULES AND THE 1991 RULES CLARIFICATION.
WITH THESE CHANGES THE WEAPONS DEVELOPMENT OPTION WAS DROPPED.

THE OPTIONAL RULE OF RESTRICTED ATTACK IS USED.

NEW PIECES

Helicopters:
Cost 12, Move 4, Attack at 3, Defend at 4 & Operate under original Fighter Plane rules.
Jet Fighters:
Cost 15, Move 6, Attack at 4, Defend at 3 & Operate under original Fighter Plane rules.
Tank:
Cost 5, Move 2, Attack at 3, Defend at 2 & Operate under original
Armor rules.
Troop Carrier:
Cost 3, Move 2, Attack at 1, Defend at 2 & Operate under original Armor rules.
Hovercraft:
Cost 5, Move 2, Attack at 2, Defend at 2 & Operate under original Armor rules.
Plus Special Sea Crossing:
Hovercraft can cross a Sea Zone on their own as long as they end their move on land. Example, Hovercraft is in Japan and Sea Zone is clear of an enemy ships. If Manchuria, were to be under enemy control, the Hovercraft could be moved there. Could be used for combatsequence. Hovercraft can not be used in navel combat, not even as a cannon fodder. Other examples of Hovercraft movements are: Craft leaves Persia to Italian East Africa or Western Europe to Karelia. A Hovercraft can not cross from Alaska to Soviet Far East because it can not cross 2 Sea Zones.
Rules Clarification
Hovercraft and Paratroopers do not fall under amphibious assault rules when no transports are used. Hovercraft and Paratroopers can not retreat unless there are other units from an adjacent territory.
